Ashdod
| Ashdod (Hebrew אשדוד, Arabic إسدود ʾ Isdūd) second port of Israel (after Haifa). is the fifth largest city in Israel to 35 km from Tel Aviv, Ashkelon 5 km and 70 km from Jerusalem and Beer Sheva. very dynamic city with a very rapid recent growth, including through the provision of new immigrants from France, Ethiopia, Russia and Latin America. The city is one of five cities founded by the Philistines in ancient times and was the center of worship of the god Dagon.
